Chetana and Shridhar Kinger from Pune loved the Ferrnhills RoyaalPalace as a backdrop for a music festival. Ferrnhills Royaal Palace has been hosting goM.A.D music festival that was recently held in Ooty for the past 2 years and it has been an awesome experience for us too! We love the amalgamation of music, art and dance at such a historical place and at such a beautiful location. Watch the video to know these youngsters views
As the bands played on stage, a few others created their own music in the woods at Ferrnhills Royale Palace Ooty. They used waste drums, bottles, sprays, PVC pipes! Everything seemed to create some music, and how the crowds enjoyed it! Take a look at one such fun evening, during the goM.A.D festival 2013 in Ooty

The festivities in Ooty have just come to an end. The hills were alive with music, art and dance for 3 days and now as the quiet and calmness descends on the hills we bring to you the glimpses of the day in photos and videos. So those who couldn’t make it to the M.A.D festival this year, here’s something to bring you some solace.
The crowd was fantastic and as the weather held up and the rains didn’t play a spoilsport the bass, jazz, rock, metal, fusion, reggae and classical – all came together to bring about a mesmerizing and an unforgettable experience in music and dance. The woods was the place to catch up your breath, as two stages had bands performing continuously from morning 11 to way past midnight every day. While en-route to the second stage people could buy knickknacks and kitsch stuff – some useful and some for pure fun! People stayed in tents or close by accommodations and the drive upto Ferrnhills RoyaalPalace was always breathtaking.
The backdrop of a palace for a music festival was intimidating and the lovely lawns proposed the perfect area to lounge around as music lovers heard their favorite band perform. Bands like Jeramiah FerrariSean Ronald and Friends, sky rabbit, 1001 ways, Agam and many others performed at the M.A.D festival at Ferrnhills RoyaalPalace Ooty.

As Day 2 at goM.A.D culminates, we have already heard almost 32 bands! The atmosphere is electric and the woods are alive with music and art! So many new talents have performed and so many interesting stories to share.
The huge lawns at the Fernhills Palace are the perfect setting for such a unique concept- 2 stages with continuous live performances, lovely art instillations in the woods, relaxed atmosphere and great food and drinks… what more could you ask for? The mornings are spent hearing great music while lazing on the grass. But that’s not all, there’s a fun Photo Booth from Pictureculate who offer you amazing props! Wear the props + get wacky+ and a cool pic is ready in no time! What a fun way to remember the M.A.D festival J
People have come from various backgrounds and races, but what unites them is the goM.A.D festival. Enthusiastic photographers and professional ones are having the time of their life capturing the vibrancy, the spontaneity of it all!
The woods through which one has to pass to reach the other stage, just adds a different dimension to the whole atmosphere. It is almost like being in a fairy tale, where art installations peep from every branch of the tree and the moist earth adds freshness to the flea market here. If you want to have some fun, there is a caricature stall! Have a caricature done of yourself or your gang at M.A.D, It’s all about having fun! There was even a cool group that created music with empty drums, paint cans, empty bottles and PVC pipes!
As night sets in, the music comes alive with lovely lights playing on the stage! The chill in the air does not matter and evenings offer the perfect ambience for some mad dance moves, while the bonfire in the night offers a place to make new friends. It is Music… Masti and Madness all the way
As the whole of India is being covered by the monsoon season, the hill sides and the valleys are exuberant . The green canopy that covers the hills, the chilling wind, winding roads and the incessant pitter patter, all create a lovely picture for a lazy traveller! The time feels stagnated and the little rivulets that run amok down the road have a distinct charm! For those who would love to halt and smell the flowers, Ooty in the rains is the place to be.
With the wedding season just around the corner, the hotels in various tourist places are offering lucrative deals on honeymoon packages. The anxious couples are left perplexed with the wide variety of choices and options available. But is price the only factor to be considered while planning for such an important event in your life? Here’s something to help you
Don’t fall prey to sweet talk, do your research and read a few reviews before deciding on the hotel
Don’t just consider the freebies and give maximum importance to the otherwise undisclosed factors like privacy, comfort and personalization of services (in-case you wish to surprise your wife with a romantic dinner in the gardens)
In-room luxury too is an important factor, if you are looking for a room in the higher price bracket. Say a Jacuzzi in the bathroom! Why not, if you are going to pay a sizeable amount! It’s romantic and luxurious.
Look for an experience rather than amenities like swimming pool and spa. Things that you could do together, while getting to know a whole new side of your partner is what will make this holiday memorable.
Honeymoon is a new beginning in any relationship. Let that time spent together be full of romantic walks, sweet nothings, relaxed stay and luxurious experiences that will give you cherished memories for life. It should be a time to connect with yourself and your partner. It shouldn’t follow a tour schedule. It’s a time when you step back and take some time out of your life, to step into a whole new world.
We, at Ferrnhills RoyaalPalace offer customized packages for such amazing couples that value their time together. Currently, our summer packages are available online, but in case you wish to look for something more personalized, do feel free to contact us.
